FIVE BS REASONS YOU GAVE YOURSELF TO NOT HIT THE GYM
This post is brought to you in association with the national society of procrastination and lethargy. For all those, who believe in the power of tomorrow and have achieved an expert level in finding new reasons to not hit the gym, read on to discover a little part of yourself in the post.
1. Weakling Worries
“Is it finally time to hit the gym, but umm…I’m feeling so weak today. You know I’m down on energy plus I worked so hard this whole week, I deserve better. Let’s start the gym, may be tomorrow?” Haven’t we all been there and done that? Yes, we have, well most of us! Today is never good and tomorrow never comes. Classic case of procrastination!
2. No gear, no workout
Remember that time when you didn’t go to the gym because you didn’t have the same pair of sock, or your shoes were too dirty or you couldn’t find those gym shorts. Yes, it sucks to not be appropriately dressed for the gym but what sucks more is not going to the gym at all. Sit tight calories, we ain’t breaking up yet.
3. No day is a good day
Come Monday and you’ve found the excuse of first weekday, too much work. Come Friday and you’ve found yourself a drinking buddy who refuses to let you go to the gym, come Sunday and it’s Game of thrones time. So no day is a good day and no time is a good time for gym, but for ice-cream it’s the opposite.
4. Diet doomsday
Why hit the gym when I just started my diet? Won’t it be too much for the body to recuperate with? This is exactly what you told yourself the last time you started that highly recommended diet and we all know how long it takes for the whole diet fad to disappear. But the supreme power of diet compels you to not hit that deadly gym, am I right?
All my procrastinating friends out there, we’ve been lazy for far too long and neglecting our own bodies for no good. It’s time we man up and do something for our own good and no you don’t have to hit the gym right away but taking small steps like avoiding that big fat pizza, walking, running, climbing stairs instead of using that elevator can do far more than you think.
So let’s all leave this ship of procrastination and get on board the go-getter train, shall we?
