THE ART OF STRUTTING
It’s time to upgrade that casual stroll to a confident strut because you know life is better when you stride in style. But beware, there’s a lot more to strutting that you think! It’s an art, one that requires confidence, coordination and balance…a lot of balance. Let us take you through the five commandments of strutting that’ll make you feel like Queen Bee next time you step on the streets.
(P.S. – No bones/teeths were broken in the making of this post, we swear!)
1. Put your right foot forward
You won’t go wrong if you put your right foot forward first when you decide to strut. Don’t ask us why! Relax, just do it, when you wanna go do it.
2. Show that side eye
If we have learnt anything from Taylor Swift, it is the side eye swag. Nothing works better than a combination of side eye, smirk and strutting. We call it the Swifite swag!
3. One hand out, one hand in
Your outfit has a pocket, great! We love pockets, who doesn’t right? Now put one hand inside your pocket, just one not both and walk like you’re on the runway because some genius once said that life is a runway, everyday is a fashion show and you’re the show-stopper!
4. Brace the bag
No pockets, no problem. Get your favorite bag out and brace it in your hand like a briefcase or on your arm like a candy.
5. Keep calm, keep confident, keep walking
Nothing looks good when it’s done in a hurry (except ice-cream-it always looks good & tastes too), so keep calm, bring out that confident self and walk like a boss. Happy strutting, y’all.
