FILLING THE BLANK SLATE

FILLING THE BLANK SLATE

The clothing business has come a long way from the time it started. From being a business that caters to products of necessities and essentials to being a state of mind and a canvas for artists to express their creative freedom. Clothes have always been objects of fantasy and desire that can spark a multitude of thoughts, emotions and actions.

For some, clothes are just a fad while for some, they are a means of expression. I recently came across a brand that beautifully encapsulates , personifies & reflects the emotion of expression onto their clothes named Blank Slate. How apt is the name? An open canvas that you can paint with your colors of creativity and expression.

In today's day and time, where clothes are being mass-produced and the copy-cat economy prospers by the day, it is great to see such brands that are not just selling clothes but a thought-process. A thought that the buyers & wearers can relate to and above all be satiated with the product, not in terms of the cost but its value. For most fashion-connoisseurs , the value of the product highly depends on the quality of fabrics, wearability, uniqueness and most importantly the essence of the brand. And it is truly a joy to see young & emerging designers from India like Snigdha Seksaria of Blank Slate focus on such aspects rather than fads & trends.
