MY DVF OBSESSION
One of the reasons I get majorly attracted towards a brand is the way they tell their story and what they stand for. In today's day and time, brands don't just sell clothes, they sell a story and they sell a persona. For as long as I can remember, I have been a big fan of DVF - a label that stands for empowerment, freedom and confidence. All of their campaigns, role models and the founder herself, Diane Von Furstenberg have inspired women to believe in themselves and their inner spark. From inventing the super-successful wrap dress to becoming one of the world's most successful fashion labels, DVF has always been ahead of the game in passing on inspirational messages along with their clothes. The women they design for, is a successful and confident woman who believes in herself and never gives up. She dreams, she persists and she achieves is the message DVF has long been associating with their clothes and who wouldn't want to be this woman, right?
Clothes are not just meant to adorn you, but rather inspire you and that's exactly what DVF has been doing, at least for me. Every time I put on a DVF dress, I feel the brand ethos and I see myself connecting & relating more and more with them. Although this green dress is not the signature wrap dress, I love it for its simplistic style and excellent construction. The dress glides with every moment and is such a fuss-free attire. You can dress it up or dress down and the color & print are just about perfect for any occasion. Hmm, after writing & reading this post, I am sure of one thing at least - I am completely obsessed with DVF! ;)
