OF SPRING & SKIRTS

OF SPRING & SKIRTS

I have been ardently waiting for Spring here in Chicago but it just seems so far. Every week or two, we get a couple of days when it feels like spring is finally here but then again you're hit by reality - in this case a snow-storm! I remember spring last year in Milan was so beautiful and had arrived by March, the blue skies, the blooming flowers, it was the best time to be in the city! I hope I get to experience the same in Chicago very soon, till then I am just going to be dressing in Spring clothes and pretend like it's here already! ;)

On days when the cold is not too harsh, I do like to experiment and give a rest to my winter closet.  So I stepped out in my Eliza J  floral ball skirt and boy, oh boy it gave me all the spring-like feels. It's true that most often than not, clothes can alter a person's mood. The minute I put on this skirt, I felt like I was ready to walk the gardens of a palace, haha! No but really, the skirt did give me a Princessy feel, which certainly cheered me up.  It's beautiful to see how clothes can impact you so much, after all fashion is an art form that allows people to express their individuality.

I love this skirt and I think it's a great transitional piece to have in your wardrobe. Wear it in the winters with jeggings inside or wear it in summer with sleeveless tank tops, it is sure to make a statement. And for all my Indian folks, you can transform this skirt into a lehenga simply by wearing it with a black crop top/blouse and a beautiful black + golden/silver stole and some ethnic jewelry.
