HOW TO TRICK PEOPLE INTO THINKING YOU'VE SPENT HOURS GETTING READY

HOW TO TRICK PEOPLE INTO THINKING YOU'VE SPENT HOURS GETTING READY

Every time I see bloggers/vloggers do a beauty tutorial of their daily makeup routine that involves at least 20 different products and minimum half an hour to forty minutes of sitting still in front of the mirror, I feel like I’m probably the laziest person born ever.

While I don’t in any way advocate that you should dress or look good for others, it doesn’t hurt to look presentable and generate curiosity sometimes. Especially when people think you put shitloads of time getting ready when you actually did quite the opposite.

And to be honest with you all, this is the hack that I usually use for all my personal style shoots because you know I just cannot sit in front of the mirror for an hour straight. I am that impatient monkey who wants the world to see what there is, maybe with a little bit of tweaking sometimes or most times.

So what is the hack and what do I do? It’s pretty simple, I use four makeup products which take me exactly ten minutes to apply – a BB/CC cream or tinted moisturizer or foundation mixed with moisturizer, an eyebrow powder, a little bit of blush and usually a bright lipcolor. That’s my makeup routine, short, stupid and simple. For my hair, I usually style it once in 2-3 days which hardly takes me anytime because you know I have the power of the Long Bob with me now.

But the biggest and the most important trick of all is…wait for it..my SUNGLASSES. Yes, that’s the trick – I just put on my sunglasses, the bright lip coupled with it makes it look chic, (that’s what I think at least). This is the best style hack I’ve ever know, Anna Wintour swears by it too. I rest my case now.
