SPANISH FLAIR AT SACHIN & BABI F/W 2016
Sachin & Babi collections have always been a dreamy affair and the F/W 16 one was nothing less. The venue was reminiscent of the Victorian era with a Violinist playing soft romantic notes at the entrance.
In their F/W 2016 collection, Sachin and Babi bring out the Spanish flair and transform it for the girl of today. The color palette was of jewel tones - emerald, ruby tones and would resemble gems from a jewelers collection of riches. And so it made sense when told that the inspiration for the collection came from the private collection of couture pieces at the Getty House. The inspiration and the gems translated into a flamboyant collection that was presented very fittingly in a vintage setting.
Latin theme flows through the collection and can be seen in the ruffles and tiers in the skirts and the rest of the collection. The pieces from the collection certainly evoke scenes of the old warm charm and elegance. Also it would be a miss to not mention the red bolero with embroidery that looked like red rubies and the gray gown that stood alone but definitely stood out.
