ATSU - LAKME FASHION WEEK WINTER/FESTIVE 2016

ATSU - LAKME FASHION WEEK WINTER/FESTIVE 2016

TAILORED. TEXTURED. TIMELESS.

Fringes, sequins, monochrome dominated Atsu's winter/festive collection and as the models walked one by one showcasing his designs, I thought to myself 'This is truly such an International collection, with so much potential to go global'. It wouldn't be ridiculous to imagine that sequin fringe gown (worn by Kanistha Dhankar in the last photo) in the windows of Saks on the fifth avenue in New York or to imagine Leandra Medine rocking that thigh-high slit black skirt with white strands hanging. What I am saying is, that the collection is very reminiscent of International runways and definitely a great achievement for Atsu & by large the Indian fashion Industry.

Atsu Sekhose carves his inspiration from his roots in Nagaland & brilliantly blends it with the modern silhouettes of today to create timeless pieces. Some of the most eye-catching pieces from his collection include the pinstriped pant-suit, the thigh-high skirt, the fringed gowns and the pink dress.
